THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD
15×30
OIL PASTEL ON CANVAS
$700

This piece is all about the view from the high ground and the price of real estate. The small copse of trees and open space are prime property for development. On the right looms the sprawl of urban encroachment and the press of population growth. Is this hilltop the next victim? One hopes not. The shredding of forestation on ridgelines to provide new homes with a view, is an atrocity. Does the world really need another mac-mansion with a view? One wonders when and where it will stop.
